I am a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in Arthroscopy, Sports Medicine, Complex Reconstruction Surgery and Orthopaedic Oncology with over seven years of experience in clinical practice, academic teaching, and clinical research. I am currently a Locum Tenens physician and Lecturer at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I am well versed in the management of sports injuries, arthroscopic complex ligament reconstructions, meniscus preservation surgery, cartilage repair and regenerative cell therapy. I am adept at performing sub vastus total knee replacement and minimally invasive hip replacement through the direct anterior approach. I am also accomplished in orthopaedic oncology, sarcoma resection and reconstruction, and mega prosthetic reconstruction. I completed MBBS (1998- 2004) and orthopaedic residency training (2008- 2016) from St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru, India. I did my fellowship training in Arthroscopy and Joint Preservation Surgery from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada (2020-2021) and at present pursuing a fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology and Complex Reconstruction Surgery at Dalhousie University. I have also done a fellowship in knee and hip reconstructive surgery with Dr Ignace Ghijselings, AZ Alma hospital in Belgium (2019) and an Arthroscopy & Sports Traumatology fellowship with Professor Dr Joao Espregueira Mendes, Clínica Do Dragão Sports Centre in Portugal (2015). I have trained medical students, orthopaedic residents, and fellows. I keep myself updated through participation in various conferences and workshops. I am a member of AANA, ISAKOS, ESSKA and IAS. I have a keen interest in research and have published papers in peer reviewed journals. I spent three years, after my graduation, rendering rural community medical service as a family physician in a Missionary hospital at Gudalur, India. Apart from my professional credentials, I am an avid athlete and a musician.
