About Gareth Ebbs

Social Impact Manager at Oakfield - a community-based social enterprise established in Clondalkin in 1996. Up to now Oakfield has mainly provided property-based supported services aimed at helping community and local projects to flourish. I am now leading the development of the next phase of Oakfield's social enterprise activities - among those is a new social enterprise grant scheme. I successfully launched this in March 2023 and we announced 11 fantastic grant awardees in Summer 2023. I ran our first international conference in May 2023 entitled 'Social Enterprise. Achieving Real Social Impact and Developing the Space'. This was highly engaging with many interesting outcomes and resulting collaborations which we hope will bear real fruit for the sector. I am also responsible for all engagement with the various stakeholders related to the process, in the social enterprise, social entrepreneurs, and private and public funding sectors. Firm believer in people and the power of generosity, ambitious thinking and collaboration. Musician and producer in my spare time. Avid climber. Always trying to be better and get better-Banner photography courtesy of South Dublin County Council
