About Garrett White

With over five years of work experience in education and esports, I am a passionate and skilled Esports and Gaming Teacher/Coach at Rowan-Salisbury Schools. I use my knowledge of the esports industry to implement engaging and interactive curriculum and assessments for students in grades 9-12, covering topics such as industry employment, personal development, analysis, and strategy. I also coach and mentor the school's esports teams, helping them develop their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as their competitive performance. Previously, I worked as a Financial Aid Officer at Catawba College, where I assisted students with their financial aid applications, scholarships, and grants, and also helped college's esports director with various tasks as it relates to esports. I am motivated by the mission of fostering a positive and inclusive gaming culture and community, and empowering students to pursue their academic and professional goals in the esports and gaming industry.
