About Gary Barefoot

I'm originally from Calgary, Alberta where I studied in a couple of different fields trying to find the career that suited me. I never really considered going into the video game industry as a realistic option and felt I was required to have a "real" job in order to be successful. Making video games always seemed to be in some mystical realm that belonged to an entirely different breed of people. After starting a couple different careers and not feeling the personal satisfaction I craved I finally realized that I could be one of those people too. Video games have always been a huge part of my life and I've always wanted to be involved with the industry. Now that I've taken the steps to pursue that goal, I've become a member of the game dev community and can say that I finally feel like I've found my place!
