My journey began with a solid foundation in engineering through rigorous apprenticeships and certifications. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of serving in various capacities within the Ministry of Defence and private sector organisations, where I've honed my skills and knowledge in marine engineering, safety, and regulatory compliance. From my tenure with the Royal Fleet Auxiliary, I served as a Marine Engineer, where I managed the maintenance, operation, and preservation of critical machinery and systems. I also played a key role in firefighting and damage control operations, ensuring the safety and operational readiness of naval vessels. In subsequent roles, including Naval Small Boats Lead and Subject Matter Expert at Lloyds Register and Senior Consultant at RINA Space & Defence, I transitioned into regulatory compliance and consultancy. Here, I led teams, conducted compliance assessments, and provided strategic guidance to clients on navigating complex regulatory landscapes. My expertise in ISO auditing, project management, and coaching & mentoring proved invaluable in driving organisational success and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Throughout my career, I've remained committed to professional development and continuous learning. As a full member of esteemed professional bodies such as the Institute of Marine Engineers, Science & Technology (IMarEST) with Chartered status and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) as a full member, I stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, further enhancing my capabilities as a leader and innovator in the maritime industry. I am passionate about leveraging my skills and experience to drive positive change and making meaningful contributions in my field of work. Whether it's ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing operational efficiency, or promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, I am dedicated to delivering results that exceed expectations.
