In my most recent position I managed Public Relations and marketing for Black Country Chamber of Commerce. Duties included:• Building contacts within local and free newspapers to increase press coverage• Developing relationships internally to build a marketing and PR plan • Collating stories for and editing the Chambers publication Prosper magazine• Maintaining an excellent relationship with the magazine publishers.• Overseeing the implementation of the Chamber social media campaign• I was responsible for the rebrand of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce in 2010. I successfully rebranded the organisation, overseeing the launch of a new website and all new literature whilst following national brand guidelines. I carried out presentations to all staff to explain the implementation, the brand identity and ultimately get their support. The brand was then marketed externally to all clients and stakeholders.I also managed the professional network ‘Alliance 4 the Black Country’ that is hosted by Black Country Chamber of Commerce. I had overall responsibility for organising, administering and developing the Alliance. Duties included:• Organising meetings• Preparation of chairs briefs, agendas and minutes• A range of customer care activities• Working with members and the Alliance steering group to produce and organise a calendar of seminars, formal and social events.
