About Gemma Saunders

I primarily work for Firecat Studio and Kaeppel Consulting as a UX Researcher & Content Specialist. I love my job and really enjoy finding out why people do what they do. I work with wonderful teams that performs user studies and testing, create accessible experiences and employ insights of what users need and want to enhance the design process for products and services of companies who enlist our help. We also love to run Design Sprints to help companies solve big challenges and prototype ideas in a very short amount of time. I am a qualified Design Sprint Facilitator through AJ & Smart, along with several members of my team. Outside of work, I have completed three degrees with a heavy focus on Psychology, and am a Certified Usability Analyst, qualified through Human Factors International. I also work as an Election Judge for Bexar County Elections when the polls are open. I love spending time with my family, watching movies, playing board games, reading, and kickboxing. I'm a big believer in being the change that I want to see in the world, and I also want to give our next generation every opportunity to help them make a difference. I volunteer as a Team Manager for Destination Imagination, which is a project based, kid-driven program that teaches kids to be innovative problem solvers. Using STEAM, teams of students collaborate, think outside the box and create unique solutions to one of seven different challenges in preparation for a fun, problem-solving competition.
