About Geoff Howe

Well, that little Hackathon project I did 11 years ago has swallowed the initial and principal data processing at EAB for all of our data-based products and services for our many university and community college customers who have subscribed to them. Currently it's processing 90-120K new files representing 1.1TB to 3.1TB of new customer data processed every 24 hours in more than 3800 different customer domains! Automated, self-healing configuration that accommodates customization at scale, templated SQL engine and recently added support for developer CICD and product releases makes it so flexible and efficient for our customer support engineers to onboard new clients and for product teams to add new data features and logic. We even managed a semi-automated migration out of hundreds of customer's custom Informatica installations last year! Now we're retiring Talend and SSIS! To think it started as just a prototype in Postgres, and then has evolved through Hive and now to Snowflake, I'm very proud of what we've done so far!
