Background

About George Clayton

I have over 25 years of experience in engineering, project management, and supply chain functions in the food industry, with a strong track record of delivering results and value for the business. As the Technical Assurance Lead of Engineering and Maintenance at The Hershey Company, I lead a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of one of our manufacturing facilities, as well as develop and execute the capital investment plan of over $20M to support our growth and innovation goals. In my previous roles at Hershey, I successfully implemented an upgraded SAP product development management system to streamline marketing’s new product development, integrated the Krave Pure Foods Supply Chain into Hershey Supply Chain and managed all supply chain functions after the integration. I have also worked in the AEMEA region, where I gained valuable insights and exposure to different markets and cultures. I am passionate about leading and developing teams, leveraging technology and data, and optimizing processes and systems to drive performance and efficiency.
