About George Head

Teaching and modeling the behaviors of principle-centered leadership and personal development have been essential to my experience, rising to Vice President in a Fortune 100 and 10 years as CEO and board member of middle market and start-up companies in Telecom, Energy and Environmental. I have served on several for-profit and non-profit boards. Since 2016, I have been a member of LHH’s International Center for Executive Options (ICEO) practice and an Executive Coach in its Talent Development organization. I have embraced this stage of my career as an opportunity to help executives achieve their goals through career choices, individual growth, and leadership of their teams. Through structured training, mentoring, and hard-earned lessons of experience I learned what is expected of leaders. On multiple occasions I was asked to lead the integration of recently merged companies requiring a balance of discipline, empathy, and achieving merger goals while encouraging individuals and teams to accept change. I led a mid-size telecom company as CEO through deregulation of the industry, seizing growth opportunities and acquisitions and later embraced a unique opportunity to be CEO of a start-up renewable energy company. It taught me about M&A, raising money, perseverance, and motivating teams in difficult times. Gaining significant international experience, I led Global Operations for world-wide broadband satellite and microwave services companies. My belief in the importance of engaging in the community has led me to serve on the boards of several non-profits and on many occasions as Board Chair.
