About George Selway
Versatile Software Developer and Digital & Technology Solutions Professional with five years of UK public-sector experience delivering robust, secure, and future-proof software. Progressed from a Level 4 Software Testing Apprentice at Sedgemoor District Council through a four-year Degree Apprenticeship at Somerset County Council to a developer role responsible for building, testing, and deploying production-ready services. Proficient in C# and the latest.NET frameworks (including.NET 8.0), with additional Python and Java expertise. ISTQB-certified in manual and automated testing, combining a tester’s risk-awareness with a developer’s commitment to clean, maintainable code. Skilled in Agile-Scrum methodologies using Azure DevOps and GitHub, advocating collaborative problem-solving, continuous integration, and peer code reviews.
