I am currently working at the Technology Innovation Agency as a Head: Facilities and Security. I have worked in this role for the past 12 years, including my former employer as the Department of Science and Innovation formerly known as Department of science and Technology. I am trained in all areas of facilities and security, capable with property and security equipment, systems, and know how to approach every situation, quickly and safely. My success in security and facilities field lies in my ability to work as a good team manager and player, someone who can go that extra mile, manage all the programs effectively, a penchant for detail, and many more. I have handled large scale of facilities project management and security operations in a large variety of settings, which include maintenance and services of property, space planning and office relocation, immovable assets and equipment, repair and maintenance of buildings, asset monitoring and cost containment measures. I am well adept at identifying in analysing all the existing security systems and coming up with effective upgrades, and I am well familiar with all the financial and organisational aspects of the department management also including Public Financial Management Act (PFMA). I am an effective planner and organiser.
