Master Degree in Physical Chemistry at the University of Calabria (UNICAL), in 2001. Trainee at Akzo Nobel Chemicals Research, Arnhem, the Netherlands, in 2003. PhD in Chemical and Materials Engineering at UNICAL, in 2008. Permanent Researcher (2009-2019), Senior Researcher (2020), and Director of Research (since 2021) at the Institute on Membrane Technology (ITM) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). Awarded of the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) Global Seed Fund 2012-2013. National scientific qualifications (ASN) as Full Professors for the scientific sectors: 03/A2 – models and methods for chemical sciences; 03/B1 – fundamentals of chemical sciences and inorganic systems; 03/B2 - chemical basis of technology applications; 03/C1 – industrial and applied chemistry; 09/D2 - systems, methods and technologies of chemical and process engineering. Coordinator of the H2020 FET-OPEN project AMECRYS - Revolutionising Downstream Processing of Monoclonal Antibodies by Continuous Template-Assisted Membrane Crystallization (2016-2021). Scientific responsible for CNR of the EIC-TRANSITION-OPEN project BIOPURE - Biopharmaceuticals purification by continuous membrane-assisted crystallization achieving lower cost and intensified processes (2023-2026). Co-founder of the company Seligenda Membrane Technologies S.r.l, a joint spin-off of CNR and UNICAL, registered as innovative startup in 2020.
