About Gibson H.

With over three years of experience as a frontend engineer, I am passionate about building scalable, accessible, and user-friendly web applications with cutting-edge technologies. My mission is to leverage my skills and expertise to create positive social impact through open source software development. I am currently apart of the frontend team at Hack for LA: lucky parking - a non-profit organization that connects civic-minded developers with local government and community partners to address critical issues in Los Angeles. At Hack for LA, I have been responsible for implementing and refining more than nine reusable frontend components with React, TailwindCSS, and Radix-Ui. I have also translated Figma designs into pixel-perfect web user interface, implementing minor visual enhancements to improve user experience, while ensuring clean code practices for optimal performance. Additionally, I have conducted code review with new contributors and mentored them with React, React Hook, and Testing Philosophy. Furthermore, I have established testing with React Testing Library, Jest, and Storybook, and improved frontend design libraries' test coverage by 70%.
