About Gijs Verbossen

Experienced researcher and consultant in the fields of security, geopolitics, peacebuilding, rule of law, development cooperation, and humanitarian aid. I take an interdisciplinary and multimethod approach to research, to ensure holistic and in-depth answers to complex questions. I take participatory and gaming approaches to consultancy, policy advice, and report writing, to facilitate co-creation between civil society, policy sectors, and executive leadership, in order to produce critical but practical recommendations for sustainable solutions. I centre my work on the values of human rights and humanitarianism, with a keen eye for the political, economic, and geographic realities of the international community. I have extensive international project and research experience in, among others, Egypt, South Sudan, Iraq, and Lebanon.
