Associate Vice President Design and Construction Serves as the University’s top executive related to the development and renewal of university real estate assets. Actively seeks and capitalizes on opportunities to improve the utilization of university owned properties at three campuses in the greater Toronto area to meet the academic need and/or provide additional sources of income to the institution. To this end leads and coordinates the following departments; Campus and Facilities Planning, Project Management, Real Estate, Academic and Campus Events. Oversaw the development and submission of a Secondary Plan to revise the zoning requirements regulating existing university real estate assets. Engaged in the development of innovative partnerships with Toronto based developers to provide much needed housing while ensuring that the university obtains a fair parity share of planned revenue from the real estate development. Developed comprehensive real estate market studies to better understand the potential of surrounding university lands and strategize future developments. Is in the process of implementing new project reporting system to institute programmatic coherence to the overall capital program.
