About Gillian Rimmer
Growing up in Tasmania I always wanted to become a nurse which I finally did in 1982. Having a strong desire to work in more holistic care I retrained and commenced work in community services and disability support and advocacy - this became a passion that would follow me to Queensland in I commenced work at TAFE Queensland in April where I developed the disability support worker program in consultation with local employers. For a number of years I worked as a teacher but new opportunities presented and I was able to work in education management for a number of years before commencing with Back to Work in 2016. I now work with many individuals and groups to support jobseekers to develop and reach their full potential. I connect and collaborate, contribute to industry and the community, to support individuals' to access training and employment opportunities
