About Ginger Parsons

I am a registered and licensed dietitian with 20+ years of food service management experience. My current position is a K-12 Specialist with Affinity Group and I am also a Licensed Business Manager in the State of Ohio. My recent positions included being the Manager of Food Services at Westerville City Schools and was the Food and Operations Supervisor at Licking Heights. My previous position was a Food Service Administrator with Columbus City Schools. I was responsible for the food service in 22 buildings K-12. I am very active within the profession of dietetics, and became President of the Ohio Nutrition Council on July 16th, 2009. I was also the statewide co-chair for the Ohio Nutrition Plan. I am most interested in school food service as I feel that I can make a difference in the lives of children at an early age, to help prevent obesity. Specialties: I have significant experience in staffing and labor management, purchasing, budgeting, creating efficiencies, HACCP, Serv Safe, and Customer Service.
