About Giulio Lella

My work: I am employed with Well Fed Pty Ltd (t/a Macchiato Woodfire Pizza and Coffee Roastery) since 2013 and have progressively grown with the company in tasks of higher and higher managerial importance. In addition to previously tasked functions of social media management, marketing and public relations, I now look after administration, project management and business development, however maintaining control over the venue operations, from the more mundane to the more specialised. My story: I am an Italian expat who made Sydney his home in 2012 and never left since. I grew up in a province named Puglia where I discovered my interest in photography at an early age. I later on moved to Rome to study physics at University La Sapienza, then drastically changed my professional orientation towards photography, as a more creative avenue. I originally moved to Sydney, Australia in 2012 and started pursuing a career in photography before being captivated and captured by the Hospitality world. Using my Italian descent and knowledge of the gastronomic and enologic tradition and culture of my motherland, I made my way into some of the best known Italian restaurants in Sydney (Criniti's, Macchiato) and even ventured into the totally different world of French patisserie (Laduree Paris). My studies: After studying Physics and Photography, I also attended courses of Marketing, Business Management, Leadership and Hospitality Management to widen my prospects and broaden my 'forma mentis'. My interests: To name a few - astronomy (of course!), wine, cocktails & food, science fiction, nature & animals, renewable energy & ecosustainability. My ultimate goal: Live and love long enough to see the first colony settle on Mars.
