OVERVIEW I have Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree from UCT, am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), hold a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) qualification from the CAI (USA) and have been in the property design, construction and development sector and related legalities for nearly 30 years. I have worked for a large corporate software development company, project managing, as well as researching, implementing and marketing new-to-market software products, including an engineering solution for the condition monitoring of electric motors, both in SA and in the USA. I started and ran a successful art gallery for 6 years, in parallel with running my own property development & project management business, providing professional construction industry related services. I have project managed a number of up-market boutique residential and commercial property developments & refurbishments, primarily in the City Bowl of Cape Town. I have worked as the Estate (Community) Manager of an upmarket residential Security Estate of approximately 350 properties in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. I currently work as a consultant and project development executive for a renewable energy company that provides SSEG solutions including solar, wind and micro hydro projects, as well as holistic services solutions for water and waste. I also consult to an independent security consultancy to develop security solutions for residential estates and retail environments. I have strong computer knowledge, worked extensively with databases & the transfer of data, am a power user of most MS Office programmes, can design & create websites, have excellent research skills and have effectively designed marketing and brand material for a variety of businesses. I am a freelance writer and have had several articles published in a variety of Art, Construction & Lifestyle magazines. I have excellent organisational skills. I am a presentable, outgoing, quickly adapting person, with a good general knowledge and a sound work ethic.
