I am the Vice President & Associate General Counsel - Benefits, Compensation & Employment at TriNet Group. TriNet (NYSE: TNET) is a leading provider of comprehensive and flexible human capital management (HCM) solutions designed to address a wide range of small and medium-size business (SMB) needs as they change over time. TriNet’s services help our clients administer and manage various HR-related needs and functions, such as compensation, benefits, payroll processing, tax credit support, employee data, health insurance, workers' compensation, EPLI, employee performance management and training, on/off-boarding, and other transactional HR needs. We deliver our services through two primary models: higher touch professional employer organization (PEO) services and our more self-directed HRIS services. In support of TriNet, I lead a team of 30 attorneys and compliance professionals who apply their HCM and benefits expertise to serve TriNet's PEO and HRIS clients and their approximately employees. Our work spans a full spectrum of HCM, benefits and compensation opportunities including, among others: employment law compliance and best practices, EPLI claims management, EEO-1 and ACA reporting, and all aspects of health, welfare and retirement plan sponsorship and compliance. In addition, I advise and support the Compensation Committee of TriNet's Board of Directors to facilitate best governance practices in the design, delivery and disclosure of our executive and director compensation programs. My responsibilities also extend to employment and benefits matters in merger, acquisition and other corporate activities. I am particularly proud to be the Executive Sponsor of the "Abilities" colleague resource group for employees at TriNet with visible or invisible differences and their allies. The group is a forum to share experiences, build awareness, and explore workplace opportunities for people with disabilities. I currently serve on the Board of Governors of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel (acebc.com), and I am the founder and Chair Emeritus and currently serve on the Board of Directors of the In-house Benefits Counsel Network (ibcnltd.org). Prior to TriNet, I was Vice President & Assistant General Counsel and led the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group in the Law Department at Marriott International. I also taught several courses as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center's Tax LL.M. program.
