About Grace Bailey

I am an Operating Department Practitioner by day and local scuba diving instructor, conservation enthusiast and underwater photographer by day off. I became a scuba diver whilst traveling in New Zealand and instantly fell in love with the underwater world and wanted to explore more. Upon returning to Jersey, I continued my diving education locally through Bouley Bay dive centre and worked my way up through the PADI ranks. During any spare time, you will find me under the sea. Photography is my tool for capturing our diverse life and sharing it. I now use my photos and knowledge to help educate people as well as provide data for Seasearch about our local critters. I have found underwater photography to be challenging yet extremely rewarding as it provides some of the most captivating images you will see. It requires specialist equipment, training, and optimum skills as a diver to cause as little impact as possible to the ocean life. I am a keen fan of macro photography as I find it one of the more intriguing styles, especially with the turbid waters we often experience.
