About Greg McLean

I am an innovative and creative information technology risk management and IT security leader with extensive experience in these fields. I have lead teams as a senior consultant and manager to successful IT risk management/security assessments and remediation solutions. In addition I have demonstrated abilities in motivating and developing IT security architecture personnel and security assessment personnel. I am an advocate of IT risk management and a strategic thinker with a proven capability to design and deliver complex business solutions employing innovation and vision. Through my experience in the consulting field and private corporations including large financial institutions and retail as well as the Ontario Government I have learned the value of characteristics such as integrity, accountability and being customer driven are attributes that deliver success to security solutions that are practical and meet the business needs. This has enabled me to be successful in these fields and viewed as a high performing person that is an enabler to business. My knowledge, experience and practical approach has also been recognized by others in these fields where I have been asked to speak at conferences and provide papers which include: Quoted as a subject matter expert on IT security in the April 2002 Telus newsletter to their clients. Speaker to the Government of Ontario IT Security Committee on Holistic Approach to Managing IT Security. Published an Article in April 2003 CA Magazine on ROI calculation as it pertains to IT Security Published two articles on Business Continuity Planning. Seminar speaker on BCP Consulting Expectations to the Disaster Recovery Institute Exchange (DRIE). Security speaker for a Microsoft for their kick off “Road Show” pertaining to security ISACA (Toronto Chapter) course instructor for the CISA preparation exam course.
