Areas of specialization: Project Management in the areas of carbon capture, carbon utilization, and hydrogen production and utilization. In-depth experience with polymer membranes for gas separations, fuel cells, and electrolyzers. • 6 years of monomer and polymer synthesis and characterization experience. • 5 years of PhD-research studying the structure-property relationships of polymeric membranes, which resulted in the fabrication of membranes with superior gas separation properties that performed above the Robeson Upper Bounds. • Led the polymer membrane development of a multidisciplinary, multi-million-dollar anion exchange membrane research collaboration, funded by ARPA-E. • Led the polymer scale-up development for the commercialization of the world’s most durable, yet high-performance anion exchange membranes (renewable energy applications). • Wrote a successful grant proposal for an industrial collaboration partner. • As part of another collaboration with 2 other universities, 1 national lab, and 2 industrial partners - Led the polymeric membrane crosslinking efforts to produce and commercialize economically competitive proton exchange membrane fuel cells (renewable energy applications). • Experience tailoring polymer structures to obtain desired mechanical and chemical properties (gas separation membranes, ion exchange membrane fuel cells, and electrolyzers). • Research mentor of 7 individuals.
