About Gregory Liptak

Prior to joining the American Diabetes Association, Greg Liptak was the President and co-founder of Intelligent Medical Decisions, Inc.(iMD), a company focused on improving healthcare quality. Mr. Liptak provided iMD with leadership experience developed over a focused career in healthcare spanning research, education, information technology and entrepreneurship. Since 2009 and under Mr. Liptak’s direction, iMD-led collaborations with academic medical centers, health delivery systems, medical professional societies and associations, and the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries generated over in grants to tackle the nation’s most challenging chronic disease conditions, with a primary focus on diabetes and cardiovascular disease. With over a decade of experience building public-private relationships across the healthcare spectrum, Mr. Liptak has helped grow iMD into a leading provider of clinical quality improvement services, and the ADA acquired iMD in July of 2016 and brought Mr. Liptak on as the Vice President of Quality Improvement Services to continue these efforts. Before transitioning to a leadership role at iMD, Mr. Liptak acted as the Director of Medical Education for two successful medical education companies, with a focus on using clinical data and advances in technology to improve educational outcomes and patient care. Mr. Liptak graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, completing all pre-med requirements as well as extensive coursework in computer science and agricultural and biological engineering. While at Cornell, Mr. Liptak was a member of the Cornell University Rugby Football Club and an avid entrepreneur, consulting for multiple dotcom startup endeavors focused on hotel & restaurant management, e-commerce and gaming.
