My book Make Waves! is available on Amazon. It focuses on leadership and includes about 15 attributes of a leader of significance. If you influence anyone you are a leader. I am now a professional speaker focusing on leadership, but not limited to that. I have had engagements in Atlanta, GA at the ISTE 14 conference, in Frisco, TX at ASCD Ignite14 conference, at University of Houston Victoria at student leadership conference. I spoke at Summit Heights Fellowship in Hawkins, TX. and also in San Antonio at the National Rural Educators Assoc. conference. I have been asked to speak at Escambia School district leaders in Pensacola, FL in January. I have spoken at the Alabama Public School Association and continue to speak at conferences across the country including the National Title 1 conference where I was a featured speaker! I am retired professional educator that has a wide range of experiences. I have taught and coached at every level from 4th grade on up. I have coached almost every sport just not baseball & softball (yes I have coached volleyball), but mostly football. I have been a principal at the elementary and high school level, an athletic director, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. While I was superintendent,I created a high school, an interscholastic athletic and fine arts program, while developing a high school curriculum including Advanced Placement and Dual Credit. I have successfully facilitated a bond election that the voters approved $.18 raise in their taxes. I am active on twitter @HalLRoberts, and have begun to blog: pirateleader.blogspot.com. My website is I am an ordained deacon in my Southern Baptist church and have served on deacon boards for 3 different churches. I have taught a Sunday school class in 5 different churches. I have been married to my wife of 38 years and retired teacher now working as a consultant for AVID. I have two married daughters, one grand daughter, and two grandsons. I am truly blessed with an amazing family that is very close. I also have a great Schnauzer.
