About Haley Wickman

Driven to contribute to systemic change in the agri-food space, I am currently pursuing a Master's in Sustainable Business & Innovation at Wageningen University with a focus on strategic communication, value-chain collaboration, and data collection and reporting. I am now conducting research in the south of Spain on the topic of data platforms relevant to natural capital monitoring and regenerative agriculture in collaboration with SLM Partners. Throughout my career, I have intentionally aligned my skills and expertise with organizations and roles where I can contribute to the causes I care about most. For example, I believe that the world deserves values-driven leaders. That's why for 4 years, I worked with the world's largest youth-led non-profit, AIESEC, which focuses on youth leadership development and cross-cultural understanding. In 2020, I was elected as President & CEO and steered the U.S. branch through critical moments during the COVID-19 pandemic. Building on this experience, I supported organizations in identifying gaps in their practices and policies that may be getting in the way of greater workplace equity, inclusion, and diversity with The Acacia Company. Since, I have been working on various impact-oriented projects related to the circular and biobased economy, livelihoods in agri-food value chains, stakeholder collaboration for sustainability innovation, and impact storytelling.
