I'm a recovering parliamentary official, turning my international side hustles into my main gig. With 15 years of experience working in parliaments in the UK and around the world, I'm currently- Chief Technical Advisor at Global Partners Governance, an organisation that works with politicians, ministers and civil servants worldwide to improve the quality and effect of their political institutions- Senior Gender Advisor to the INTER PARES parliamentary strengthening project, working to exchange experiences and ideas between EU parliaments and legislatures around the world to make them more representative and inclusive, and - Gender Audit Advisor to the Welsh Parliament. Previously I led the knowledge exchange programme at the Welsh Parliament/Senedd Cymru, and worked as a Lead Technical Advisor to a UNDP Laos parliamentary strengthening project. I’ve published widely on these topics, as well as broader human rights issues, with a particular focus on translating research into action.
