A passionate advocate for social justice, equality and diversity, I am dedicated to working for the betterment of others. I have worked in the voluntary sector for the last seventeen years, predominantly in leadership roles, and am determined to see better outcomes for our diverse communities. In addition I have spent twelve years in frontline politics, six of these in a senior leadership role, and this has resulted in strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to work on own initiative. Being the council’s political lead for health and wellbeing has involved mastering complex health networks and working closely with partners to deliver sustainable integrated programmes.
