About Hannah Roberts

I'm currently a Science student at the University of New Brunswick, majoring in Physics and Chemistry. My goals here are to learn as much as possible, gain new experiences and develop further as a person. I plan to either go into a Masters degree or onto a bachelor's of Education. However, I have a substantial interest in writing and business, along with education, so in the future I'd like to find a way to intrinsically mix the three. In my second year, I began working as a Chemistry Peer Assisted Learning Leader, where I create and conduct sessions helping 1st-year chemistry students with the material, test their knowledge, and help them learn together in a more intimate environment than they would usually get in their university classes. Working as a PAL leader has been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. I've received lots of positive feedback from the students, and have adapted my sessions to be as educational and entertaining as possible. I make sure each student feels comfortable speaking up when they have a misunderstanding or message me privately if they're too nervous about speaking in front of a larger group of people. These sessions include extensive work with PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and presenting material understandably and concisely.
