About Hannah Robson

I have a Ph.D. in environmental science and recently I taught science courses and labs at Mount Vernon High School and Skagit Valley College. My PhD research was focused on determining the concentrations of metals in sediments within estuarine and coastal ecosystems. Metal concentrations and physicochemical, spatial, and temporal properties were determined/measured and used in the statistical computer modeling system, SAS Enterprise Guide. I was able to fabricate and compose a current dataset and model for metal concentrations within estuarine and coastal ecosystems. I am interested in environmental research, toxicology, coastal and estuarine ecosystems, metals, experimental design, result analysis, and scientific publications to name a few. My communication skills include being able to formulate complex ideas and theories and convey those ideas in simple terms when necessary; able to communicate with large groups, while listening to the individual; able to give comprehensible instructions to others to complete a task. Analytically I am capable of performing tissue and sediment preparation, digestion and execution for ICP-OES as well as other laboratory procedure and methods. My technical writing skills include writing scientific and technical articles; presenting data to communicate complex information. My computer skills include: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer, and SAS Enterprise Guide. Intermediate experience in ESRI ARCGIS.
