About Hannah Staunton

With over 20 years of experience in communications, marketing, and external affairs, I am the Head of Communications at East West Railway Company, the UK's largest rail project that will connect communities and businesses across the Oxford-Cambridge Arc. As a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, I have a strong background in management, finance, and leadership, having completed executive programmes at Oxford and LSE. I am passionate about delivering strategic communications that engage diverse stakeholders, influence public opinion, and drive new business opportunities. In my current role, I oversee the communications strategy, brand identity, media relations, and stakeholder engagement for the project, working with the senior leadership team, the government, the rail industry, and the local communities. Previously, I held interim and contract positions at The New West End Company and Baker Street Quarter Partnership, where I led external affairs and operations for two major business improvement districts in London. I have also been recognised for my contribution to the community by Gatwick Airport in 2015. I am a dynamic, collaborative, and creative professional who thrives in fast-paced and complex environments, and who is committed to delivering positive social and economic impacts through effective communications.
