About Hans Hogewind

Hans is Klinisch psycholoog/Psychotherapeut met ruim twintig jaar werkervaring in de Kinder- en Jeugdpsychiatrie. Naast de diagnostiek en behandeling (cognitieve gedragstherapie, EMDR, psychotherapie, en ouderbegeleiding) van cliënten met een diversiteit aan klachten, heeft hij zich ook toegelegd op het superviseren van Cognitief Gedragstherapeuten in opleiding (VGCT), PioG’s, Schoolpsychologen en Orthopedagogen, het doen van praktijkresearch, het geven van workshops en presentaties, praktijkopleiderschap en het uitvoeren van beleidsmatige taken. Lidmaatschappen: NIP, VCGT, VEN, NVGzP, VKJP Hans Hogewind is the founder of the Child Assessment Group. He also works as a Clinical Child Psychologist (restricted through the Individual Healthcare Professions Act) at a Mental Health Clinic in The Hague area. For two years he lived and worked in Shanghai with children from expatriate families. Hans has extensive experience with providing assessment, intervention and diagnostics of children and adolescents. Hans has an honors degree in Clinical Developmental Psychology and School Psychology from the University of Amsterdam as well as a Postmaster Healthcare Child Psychology (GZ-Psycholoog), Clinical Psychology (Klinisch Psycholoog), and Psychotherapy (Psychotherapeut). The motive behind his work as a psychologist is that he wants to help children and adolescents develop in a healthy and normal way. Although this might sound obvious many children are in fact facing challenges that prevent them from growing up in a happy, loving and supportive environment. Hans is able to depict the cause of the challenges and propose potential solutions that would help the child be successful in both school and home. Hans sees it as his duty to support children and their parents, explore struggles together to find possible solutions to help the child smoothly cycle through life. He also provides supervision for psychologists in order to help them thrive as professional and for personal growth.
