Currently based in Dresden, Germany, I serve as a Desk Manager – International Project Finance at Arche Nova, where I lead the international financial management of the East Africa portfolio. In this role, I oversee multi-million-euro projects funded through German statutory budgets and institutional donors, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic oversight across the region.In parallel, I contribute as a Volunteer Integration Specialist with European Organization for Integration e.V, supporting initiatives that promote inclusion and community engagement.Previously, I held several senior finance roles at Afghanaid, a UK-based international NGO, where I strengthened financial systems, donor compliance, and operational efficiency across complex development programs.Over the course of my career, I have managed development portfolios exceeding USD 25 million, funded by leading bilateral and multilateral donors, including USAID, World Bank, DFID, European Union, GIZ, BMZ, ECHO, SIDA, and NORAD, as well as UN agencies such as World Food Programme (WFP), UNICEF, UNOCHA, UNODC, and FAO.I also directed financial oversight of a SEK 120 million SIDA-funded consortium project, coordinating implementation across three major international NGOs: Save the Children International, ActionAid, and Concern Worldwide.My expertise spans the full project lifecycle — from proposal development and budgeting to implementation, financial monitoring, compliance management, audit coordination, and grant closeout. With over 10 years of experience, I bring a strong track record in operations, grants management, and financial leadership across diverse sectors, including emergency response, democracy and governance, trade and development, regional integration, corporate governance, agriculture, environment, disaster risk reduction, livelihoods, infrastructure, media, and development consultancy.I am committed to strengthening financial stewardship in international development and ensuring that donor resources translate into measurable, sustainable impact.
