About Harrison Kidd

I graduated in International Relations and Politics in 2018 and proceeded to undertake a Masters in 2019 in Public Administration and Policy. Having studied to a Masters level, I have gained a keen eye for detail and a wide range of skills that later led to my employment with Healthwatch Medway and EK360. I fostered my project-based skills and public engagement skills with Healthwatch Medway while remaining targeted to reach out key performance indicators. My performance in this role led to my appointment in the commercial team four months later on a radical project called the Hypertension Heroes. I worked as part of an efficient team to develop the foundations of this project and became the sole project coordinator for its second phase that encompassed 4 areas of Kent and Medway. Under my supervision and assisted by my manager, the project achieved huge success reaching underserved communities and enabling self-care for an essential yet basic medical need. We hosted an event showcasing our work for the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for NHS England and we have also been contacted to share our knowledge nationwide for similar upcoming projects. For our efforts, we were shortlisted for the Health Service Journal awards in 2023 as part of the Innovation and Improvement in Reducing Healthcare Inequalities Award. With this nomination, I feel that it is time to seek new challenges and explore the potential that I may have to bring success to new teams.
