About Heather Haygood

An accomplished leader, Heather Haygood has served in many top level positions, most recently as Dean of Academic Affairs, Executive Director, and Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. At HMH she leverages her vast experience and knowledge to help others navigate the challenges all leaders inevitably face. As a young leader, Heather received feedback from a direct report,"you instill confidence in your employees." In this moment, as the supervisor of Harvard graduates and people with 15+ more years of work experience, it became clear that leadership doesn't come down to age, credentials, or title. Leadership is about empowerment. Leaders can either instill confidence or destroy it—far too often it’s the latter. As a result, Heather is passionate about cultivating leaders who can create the organizational shifts necessary to provide foundations of trust, authenticity, and empowerment for themselves, their organizations, and the people they lead. Heather holds a Bachelors of Arts degree and a Masters degree in Business Administration. She is a certified executive coach, a certified practitioner for both Genos International, and the Center for Creative Leadership, and is a proud member of the International Coaching Federation.
