About Heather Kerble

After graduating from UMass Amherst with a Bachelor's Degree in Resource Economics, I began working at the UMass Store. After six months of working at this store, I was given a promotion and have been working as the Apparel Department Team Lead. I am responsible for a team of approximately 10 employees who help to keep the sales floor organized and running smoothly. After a lot of thought and consideration, I have decided to pursue a field that I feel will make a greater difference in the world and will be earning my Master's in Social Work from Simmons College starting in the Spring of 2018. While I love a lot of aspects of my current position, I am hoping to make a transition to a job that more closely aligns with my long-term career goals in the social work field. While I am excited for this next chapter of my career, I am grateful for the previous work opportunities I have had in which I was able to fine tune my analytical, organizational, and technical skills. Working as a team lead has also helped develop my communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. I cannot wait to put all of these skills forward as I transition further into the social work world!
