About Heather Packer

As Director of Education at Mr. Smith Hair, I lead with a vision of empowering stylists through innovative education, inclusive leadership, and international collaboration. Since 2020, I have built and trained an international education team that delivers in-person and virtual learning experiences across the U.S. and Australia. My work spans from designing curriculum for salon partners to preparing stylists for the fast-paced worlds of Fashion Week and editorial photoshoots. With a background as a stylist, educator, and non-profit founder, I bring over 20 years of experience in education program design, backstage leadership, and brand strategy. My passion lies in creating impactful education that fosters growth for both stylists and salon businesses, while ensuring programs align with the brand’s pillars of style, substance, and simplicity. I continue to stay connected to clients behind the chair, working in the salon one week every six weeks — maintaining a direct connection to the artistry and relationships that inspire my work as an educator.
