About Heather Perry

With over 2 decades of experience in international K-12 education and curriculum design, I am passionate about creating and delivering engaging and inclusive learning experiences for diverse students. I have a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development and Special Education, focusing on curriculum and assessment, Universal Design for Learning, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse learners. I am currently a 2nd-grade teacher at Ambrit International School, a leading international school in Rome that fosters academic excellence, global citizenship, and social responsibility. I am also the CEO and Creative Director of H.P. Gentileschi Publishing House, which has a particular interest in helping students who are at the crossroads of English language learning and Special Education. I have written, illustrated, and published a 26-book set of alphabet pre-readers designed to teach letter recognition, phonemic awareness, simple-present tense verbs, English sentence structure, vocabulary, and comprehension. I use various artistic mediums to create captivating illustrations which correspond with each book’s alphabet letter.
