About Heather Wade

My personal experience in donating blood and platelets allows me to educate potential blood donors, motivate donor groups like high schools students, and bring aboard new donor groups to keep supply greater than the demand for blood products in Metropolitan D.C. Everyday is a new day which means balancing patient needs with the potential inventory that needs to be collected. It's my goal to be able to recruit new and existing donors and organizations to believe in the mission of GIVE LOCAL, SAVE LOCAL. By providing a detailed bullet-point style agenda of how a blood drive at a church, school, business (both private/public sector), and organizations will flow and why their participation is important to the community. It's also important to let them know Inova Blood Donor Services prides itself on providing World Class Customer Services to it's donors. Short wait times, highly trained and experienced staff, overall donor safety are crucial components in onboarding new groups and maintaining long term relationships with donor groups. Organization,advanced communication skills, flexibility, creativity, and the ability to show each donor group/coordinator that they are important to the mission is key and I am able to manage this effectively throughout Arlington, Alexandria, and Fairfax counties and Washington,D.C.
