About Heidi Devaun
My main goal as an educator is to guide students to their highest potential through current methods that will help them prepare for their future. I do not believe that this is something I have to do alone. Working together with students, parents, staff and the community will strengthen the benefits and opportunities for students. As a 2009 graduate of Finlandia University, I had student teaching experience at the third grade level as well as substitute teaching and field experience in all elementary grade levels. Since then, I have had a variety of experiences including working as a paraprofessional in special education classrooms, teaching ESL abroad in South Korea, teaching in elementary classrooms, and working as a school climate paraprofessional. Through my experiences, I have gained knowledge in parent communication, classroom management, curriculum development, special education and English as a second language. Finally, in December of 2017, I completed my Master's degree in school administration.
