Background

About Heidi Hauf

Operating at a senior level, I am an inclusive leader, advisor and strategist using design thinking and tapping into diverse networks to tackle 'wicked' challenges. I've worked globally with leading public, private and not-for-profit sector organisations. I am passionate about working with organisations that want to create a fair and prosperous future for all, within planetary boundaries. In leadership, advisory and project management roles spanning over 20 years I have developed a diplomatic, purposeful and enthusiastic working manner. My persuasive nature and ability to understand complex issues and relate them in context to others has assisted me in challenging roles. I work hard to help people and organisations to think big and drive positive change in society. My career begun in the Australian Army; graduating from RMC Duntroon as an Intelligence Officer I gained operational expertise. Equipped with analysis, personnel and resource management skills and a unique understanding of international relations, I realised my passion for sustainable development. I have since developed a strong strategy, advisory and design thinking practice, and gained experience in corporate leadership, public policy and community-based development by working in think tanks, business, community and environmental organisations in the UK, Australia, East Africa and Asia. I understand the urgency required to address the risks, and also recognise the vast opportunities posed by climate change, and I seek opportunities to make a difference.
