About Helen Dutta

I am a member of the Senior Leadership Team and Director of Governance & HR at DACS, an organisation championing the rights and maximising the royalties of over artists worldwide. I have 19+years experience as a lawyer and corporate governance specialist. With extensive Executive & Non-Executive Board experience, I am experienced in strategy development, legal compliance, policy, risk & financial management, cultural transformation and change management. I am an organisational development specialist with a psychologically informed approach to organisational culture, change and leadership development. To this work I bring an advanced training in psychology, team dynamics and systemic approaches (MA, Tavistock Clinic), and an early career training in anthropology (MA, Ethnomusicology). This approach enables me to consider what may be going on ‘under the surface’ for individuals, groups and organisations to inhibit or enhance teamwork or frustrate attempts at change. I am a Visiting Lecturer on the MA in Leadership & Consultancy (Psychodynamic & Systemic Perspectives) at the Tavistock Clinic, where I supervise OD consultancy. I am a qualified Executive Coach (Henley Business School), and am certified by the British Psychological Society in occupational psychometric testing. I have coached senior leaders & CEOs through transition, developed company wide learning & development initiatives and worked with Board Chairs to enhance board effectiveness. Key skills include-Strategic development-Organisational design, cultural transformation & change management-Corporate governance, legal compliance & risk-Policy development to ensure regulatory compliance-Executive coaching, learning & development, team & leadership development-Board development & succession-Board & committee effectiveness reviews-Building inclusive workplaces which foster wellbeing-Organisational development consulting and advising on HR issues across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, retention, performance management & employee relations.
