About Helen Eccles

I am a Project Manager specialising in Business Transformation. Having previously been a successful Deputy Headteacher, I have extensive experience of managing and leading teams to achieve objectives on time and to very high standards. I am challenge-orientated and solution-focused, and I value learning from both experience and from colleagues to improve future performance. I have recently achieved APM PFQ and Prince2 Foundation and I’m currently undertaking Prince2 Practitioner and Agile certifications. I am excited to continue to learn, develop and apply my skills set in my new role as a Business Transformation Project Manager. I am highly organised, dedicated and forward thinking with an excellent record of improving systems and outcomes. My interpersonal skills are first-class, and I recognise the importance of effective communication; ensuring that stakeholders are always informed of progress. Working in a challenging, fast-paced environment, I am accustomed to managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. An example of when I have applied my project management skills in a school-based project is when I had the responsibility to develop our outdoor learning environment to improve children’s attainment outcomes in physical development, which were consistently below national standards. The project was successfully completed within the tolerances of spec, time and budget. A post-project review showed attainment in pupils’ physical development improved by 20%. In addition, the local authority used the project as an example of good practice for other schools to view. My work ethic is extremely strong. I enjoy learning new skills and in addition to the project management certifications I have achieved, I have also undertaken an Excel course on Udemy to further improve my knowledge and understanding. I am enthusiastic and committed to developing my skill set in the field of project management. I would love to connect with other project management professionals to enrich my knowledge and experiences even further.
