Background
About Helene Dearn
I joined the Unemployment Benefit Service in 1983 as an admin assistant. I have built a career in Operational Delivery primarily leading teams within the Jobcentre network. I joined Universal Credit Operations in December 2014 in the role of Group Manager and led Service Centre implementation for sites across Central England and London and the Home Counties. During my time in UC I have worked closely with key stakeholders to develop the Quality Assurance Framework. In March 2018 I was proud to be offered the opportunity to lead the next phase of Universal Credit, leading out our One Service transformation in our Job Centres and Service Centres delivering outstanding customer service to the working age citizens of the Black Country DistrictFrom September 2019 I have undertaken the role of Group Director for the West Midlands. This is an exciting role filled with opportunities as the Region undergoes massive regeneration alongside major events, such as Coventry City of Culture, Birmingham Commonwealth Games and the evolving West Midlands Combined Authority.
