About Hellen Fuentes

I am a police cadet at Bladensburg Police Department, where I assist the sworn officers with various tasks and learn the fundamentals of law enforcement. I am also pursuing an associate degree in criminal justice/safety studies at Prince George's Community College, where I have taken courses in criminology, ethics, and criminal law. My core competencies include retail sales, teamwork, and English. Before joining the police department, I worked as a team member at Target and a retail associate at TJMaxx, where I provided friendly and professional customer service, handled payment processing, and answered questions and complaints. Through these experiences, I developed strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as a customer-oriented and positive attitude. My goal is to become a police officer and serve my community with integrity, respect, and compassion. I believe I can bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as well as a willingness to learn and collaborate with others.
