About Heloise Michel

Transport Engineer and planner with 1 year experience in aviation field, and 8 years’ experience in Urban Transport and Rail I studied Economics, Optimization, Statistics and Data analysis in the Ecole Polytechnique, France and specialized in Transportation Engineering and Planning at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. I first worked in the aviation field in the United States of America. This experience gave me a first-hand experience of the traffic simulation field. I also gained in-depth knowledge of demand forecast and infrastructure dimensioning and financing. I joined SYSTRA in 2010. I took part in different projects as main project engineer, or technical coordinator or project manager. I performed business development in South Europe. Recently, I joined the Operations and Maintenance Engineering Division to develop the Asset Management product based on my experience in strategic consulting on infrastructure management and the analysis of the projects life cycle costs. I manage the development of the appropriate tools and support the maintenance team on the methodological approach. Through my different project experiences, I had the opportunity to manage cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects. I gained an understanding of various disciplines within urban bus transit and rail transportation sector including: engineering, operations and planning. My colleagues say that I am organized, have good relationship-building skills with all kind of people. I appreciate to learn from others, work hard to reach a project goal, but also coordinate and manage work between different team from engineering or project management. I worked in different countries including France, Qatar, the United States, some countries in South America and countries in Central Asia. I am used to multicultural environments.
