About Henry Sanmark

I am an experienced engineering leader specializing in space systems and software, with a foundation in control engineering and robotics. Over the past decade, I’ve built and led teams that develop mission-critical software for space missions - from low-level development to DevOps, networking and software architecture. I combine deep technical expertise with a people-first leadership style. My purpose is to help others succeed while maintaining an engineering mindset: solving problems and asking the right questions. I value pragmatism, focusing on details when they matter, and on results when they count. I measure outputs, not inputs. I’ve been active in Finland’s NewSpace sector since its early days, starting with the Aalto-1 CubeSat mission and early years of ICEYE, and have guided projects from concept to launch. Adaptable and calm under pressure, I create collaborative environments where every team member is valued and empowered to excel. I am making impossible possible.
