About Herman Oomens

Herman has a strong profile as a product owner. He is a responsible professional with 30 years experience in a variety of roles including international cash management, project delivery and product management. His specific responsibilities have included international payments, trade, cash pooling products, electronic payment channels and netting. Herman acts with integrity and he always balances out a long term strategy against short term requirements. Herman was responsible for migrating all EMEA netting customers onto a new platform. This has included direct liaison with customers, managing a team of migration managers and partnering with the wider programme management. Herman also implemented core payment channels for the bank’s corporate clients. This included online channels, host-to-host connections and SWIFT implementations. Assisting clients with the development of file formats such as EDIFACT, XML, SAP and local country formats was an integral part of the implementation project. Herman is a PRINCE2 certified project manager. As a Product Owner, Herman assumes overall responsibility for ING's InsideBusiness Payments proposition. This channel is used by approximately corporate entities around the globe. His biggest achievement is to maintain a solid governance model and to guarantee ongoing stakeholder engagement.
