I specialise in providing advice to the Public Sector in identifying and rationalising surplus land and buildings. My bias is towards the NHS assisting them with funding healthcare through land sales. Consultancy Advice I assist NHS Trusts in providing Estate Strategies which help make cost savings and identify surplus land and buildings. Where surplus land and buildings are identified, I am able to advise on the most appropriate and economically viable suitable alternative use(s) to achieve ‘Best Value’ in accordance with NHS Estatecode. With 16 years in the development sector, I am able to value engineer and create attractive development products which generate high returns for Public Sector Valuation & Appraisal Advice I am an RICS Registered Valuer and provide Red Book Valuations to assist Business Cases; solus transactions and bank funding. Agency & Marketing Advice and Delivery In 2018/19 I have disposed of 10 NHS sites generating capital receipts of £68million. I work at the coal face understanding the key drivers of value at any given time. I carry out open and transparent marketing campaigns in accordance with NHS Estatecode which include revenue overage; planning and sell-on clawback provisions. In 2019, my previously agreed overage provisions have delivered an additional £2.2million of revenue for the NHS. Independent Review and Governance I am often called upon by Public Sector Vendors to peer review proposed transactions to ensure that offers are financially robust and will deliver ‘Best Value’ for the Public Purse. In such situations, where the Vendor is under pressure to meet financial year end timescales, I am able to review and deliver my response quickly and efficiently.
